@camcountry (country singer/songwriter) plays @ardmoremusichall Wednesday, October 29. While this artist is newer to me, her powerhouse vocals will absolutely make for an incredible time. Oh, and swing into @theripplewood before the show for dinner. @s.g.goodman (American folk singer/songwriter) is at World Cafe Live Thursday, October 30. I am incredibly excited for this particular show, and even if you aren’t familiar with her music, grab a ticket now. Enjoy golden hour at @walnutstcafe beforehand. Can’t make the Thursday show, or looking for a double header? Well, you’re in luck, since she plays @wxpnfm Free at Noon the next day on Halloween. And @kingprincess69 performs on the first night of November at @uniontransfer . Go see the fine folks at @poisonheartbar across the street for a pre (or post) show cocktail. A personal favorite band, and while the show is sold out, it will be well worth finding a resale ticket if you haven’t grabbed yours yet. The list this week was HARD to put together, as there are so many fantastic artists swinging through this week. But, here’s a few standouts.
@lukasnelsonofficial (country rock) returns to Philly Wednesday, October 15 at @bbowlphilly . If you aren’t familiar with him, I’m sure you are familiar with his dad, Willie Nelson. Lukas puts on a fantastic show and well worth the ticket. Grab @revivalbbqphilly before (or after) the show. @davidbyrneofficial (rock, and other things) starts a three night run at @themetphilly Thursday, October 16 through Saturday the 18. Shocked tickets are still available, and imagine these will be shows to remember. Treat yourself to a lovely meal at @osteriaphilly ahead of time. Reservations recommended. And, @the_smithereens_official (rock) play Ardmore Music Hall Friday, October 17. Pop into @izzys_ardmore for a Dark and Stormy and scallop handroll beforehand. Am I there too often? Maybe. But trust me, it’s that good, and the folks behind the bar are lovely! Craving more shows? @anamanaguchi_official (chiptune pop/rock) visits Philly with @ovlovgram (alt rock) at @phillyuu on Thursday, October 9. I’ll be at this show…who will I see there? Wander a few blocks south to @sally_philadelphia for pizza before heading up to the venue. Then head back to @themetphilly for a two night run with @mymorningjacket (rock), Friday and Saturday October 10-11. Tickets are still available for both nights, and I have a feeling I’ll be picking up a last minute ticket for at least one of the nights.
