Somehow we’re already halfway through summer, but the summer show run is still going, and oh is there a treat at the end of this week…
Indie rock band @thisisdeepseadiver plays @johnnybrendas on Tuesday, July 22. @_meernaa_ opens the show. If you get to the neighborhood before 6, stop in @wmmulherinssons for happy hour. Getting there a bit later? You can’t go wrong with a drink from @rd_philly . @ironandwinetour and @imwithherband take the stage at the @keswicktheatre Thursday, July 24. While I have yet to see Iron & Wine, I saw I’m With Her for the first time many years ago at the Prospect Park bandshell in Brooklyn. Their harmonies are unparalleled, and for the city folks, worth the trip out to the burbs. Pop in @eliaglenside for authentic greek food before heading into the venue. And then Friday, July 25, @lucydacus , @hopalongtheband , and @jaysomband open the first night of the @mtwbfoundation music weekend at FDR park. Lucy Dacus has a bit of cult following at this point, and I’m certainly one of her devotees. Food trucks will be available throughout the night, or grab a @wawa hoagie for a little car tailgate prior to the show. #phillylivemusic #livemusic

Starting off the week strong, @shakeygraves and @hovvdy play @uniontransfer Tuesday, July 15. Drop in @lovecitybrewing before the show, and if you get there between 4 and 6, you’ll be in time for happy hour.
That same night, @ryanadams returns to the Philly area at the @keswicktheatre for his Heartbreaker tour. In need of a bite before the show? Checkout The Highland Restaurant just a short drive away. One of my favorite summer things is the amount of “want to go to this show tonight?” that happens. Luckily, we’re in a city where practically any night you can find a rhythm to escape to. But for those who like to plan a tad more, here are a few shows you can invite your friends to this week.
On Thursday, July 10, @dawestheband and @phosphorescentmusic play King of Prussia’s @concertsunderthestarskop . Before the show, stop over just across the bridge to @eljefecantinabar for some great Mexican food. For the electronica fans, @tndontour and @joeyjoeyrusso take the stage at @ardmoremusichall Friday, July 11. I’m a broken record at this point, but if you haven’t stopped in @izzys_ardmore , take this as your sign to. Truly one of the best cocktail programs on the mainline/around Philly at the moment, and I have dreams of their scallop hand roll. And Saturday, July 12, @murderbydeath and @laurajanegrace stop by @uniontransfer . LJG puts on a hell of a show and I’m sure this one will be no exception.
