So in that spirit, this week’s Jawn Jams is highlighting a few groups and artists to check out next Saturday, May 31. Never been to Porchfest you say? Get ready to wander the neighborhoods surrounding Clark Park starting at noon, have your favorite bevvie(s) in your bag, load up on sunscreen, and get ready to make new friends and find new local artists to love.

A three-day weekend is in sight for some of us, and let’s celebrate with a solid lineup this week.

@thewoodbros play Upper Merion’s @concertsunderthestarskop this Friday, May 23. The show will take place at the Upper Merion Township Building Park and is part of an annual summer series, this being their 39th. And no need to venture around King of Prussia before the show to find a bite, food trucks and a beer garden are available on site.

For the folk punk fans, @sisterwifesexstrike and @apesofthestate take the stage at @kungfunecktie_bar Saturday, May 24. Stop in @murphsbar before/after the show for drinks and delicious Italian food (yes, it is an Irish bar).

And Sunday, May 25, @thebigeasyband swings by @ortliebsphilly with @elephantjakeband , @hauntdogphl , and @pennydogband Yes, it’s a Sunday show, but it’s Memorial Day eve, so it’s basically a Saturday night, ok? Enjoy some dinner before the show at @circlesthai

And we're back! After a couple weeks on the road, Jawn Jams is back and we've got a solid lineup for the week.

Tonight, indie rock band @arcadefire plays the Met. I was at the Met last night and stopped in @sorellina_phl before the show. Take advantage of their weekly specials with either the ramp or lemon pizza. Oh, and be sure to grab a scoop of their pistachio gelato (best I’ve had outside of Italy).

Thursday, May 8, @brettdennen and @riverwhyless play the Main Line at Ardmore Music Hall. Grab a cocktail before the show at @charandstavecoffee , and get ready for a folksy good time.
